Halifax launches new card

The UK's biggest home loans provider, Halifax, launched a new credit card today.

All-in-One offers a combined initial deal of zero per cent on both balance transfers and purchases, lasting ten months.

This means that purchasing the card can make it initially easier to pay off credit card debt.

However, buyers are warned that the card reverts to typical 15.9 per cent APR following the introductory period.

Commenting on the launch, head of Halifax Card Services Ken Stannard said: "Whether you want to reduce the cost of your spending, reduce the cost of outstanding debt through a balance transfer, or both, with its zero per cent for ten months introductory offer the Halifax All-in-One Card is ideal."

Other zero per cent card deals currently on the market include the Virgin Credit Card, which offers 15 months of interest-free balance transfers and three months of zero per cent on purchases.

The Barclaycard Platinum also offers 14 months and three months respectively.
